About Me

My name is Davis Nelson and I am a sophomore at North Central College majoring in Economics. I am from Madison, WI and chose to come to here for the academic opportunities as well as the chance to play on the soccer team. Soccer is one of my main hobbies and I spend a lot of my time either playing or watching the sport. I feel very blessed to be able to continuing playing in college. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and listening to music. I used to only really listen to rap but in the past few years I have been started listening to all types of music. Some of my favorite artists are Isaiah Rashad, Kendrick Lamar, King Krule and The Strokes. I also enjoy traveling and seeing new places and I hope that traveling is something I will get the opportunity to do in my future. 

I am excited to take this class because I hope that it will expand the way that I think about the movies that I watch and introduce me to good movies that I wouldn't have watched on my own. I said my favorite movie in class was The Shawshank Redemption. However, I also really enjoy Forrest Gump, Goodfellas, Good Will Hunting, and Interstellar, just to name a few. I like all of these movies because they have a combination of both great acting and a great plot. I took this class to learn more about why I think movies such as these are so great and to expand my horizons and find more movies that I really enjoy.
